Morning Prayer

Hello Audrey Warriors,

I received a beautiful message from Mark, Rachel’s dad, to share a specific request with all of you in the hope that you will step forward as you have so consistently thus far and wrap this family up in your prayers in a specific way.  I am deeply moved by the request and honored to send it out to each of you.

Tomorrow morning, the current plan is that the cardiac surgeon will wash out the space around Audrey’s heart and close her chest.  We would like to put the word out to all that this message reaches and request a simultaneous prayer time, tomorrow, Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m.  This is the time the procedure is scheduled.

We ask that you set your phone alarms or write a reminder and join us at the same time as we, together, pray specifically for Audrey on the following:

1. A perfect sterile procedure

2. That her swelling (edema) has resolved enough that the closure can be done and does not constrict her little bunny heart when closed

3. No bleeding develops

4. No infection develops

5. Her blood pressure and other vitals remain stable

6. That in general, she tolerates the anesthesia used during the procedure

7. And that all who pray give honor and praise to God for His protection and healing of baby Audrey.

The power of prayer has been proven time and time again in Audrey’s short lifetime.  Let us not grow weary of rallying to the Leslie’s side because this is the one true way we can help this family in their time of greatest need.  By continuing to be warriors for Audrey, every step of the way.

Today Audrey has eliminated the full amount of fluid needed in the past 24 hours and they are hoping for quite a bit more by morning.  She has been moving since last evening after her medication to prevent movement was stopped.  The balancing act of fluids and meds continues.

I know it doesn’t even need to be said how emotionally draining and stressful this is for Rachel & Chris.  This is what we can do as their loving community of family and friends.  So, I hope you will join tomorrow morning – 8:00 a.m. – as we flood God’s gates with our fervent prayers.

Lifting you up, Chris, Rachel, Cooper and Audrey.  Stay strong and know that God is with you and we will be crying out to Him tomorrow morning – and every day – on your behalf.

Love, Carrie

  4. Dearest Little Audrey,
Our “Audrey candle” is lit and the prayer request is so minutiae, so easily and readily being done already, and will be intentionally just for your surgery at 8am Sunday morning~ You don’t know us yet, but many of the Leslie family are very strong, faithfull believers in a power so much greater than ourselfves~ God is with you sweet pea every single second of every single moment of your life. He is with your Mommy, Daddy, and Cooper too. We wrap our arms around each of you as a family. Trust that God’s will for you is to be heatlhy and strong, and to go home where you belong just as soon as you are ready!
Endless prayers today, 8am tomorrow, and forever on~
